Please check back here on June 1, to begin the online registration process for summer classes. Summer classes will be held virtually, conducted via Zoom.
Vita Education Services offers FREE Literacy, High School Equivalency (HSE) Preparation Classes, English as a Second Language (ESL), and Family Literacy programs for adults. Classes are currently being conducted virtually through Zoom and other online platforms, due to COVID-19. Summer classes will also be offered virtually. We expect that fall classes will be a mix of virtual and in-person classes, which would be held at various sites in Bucks County.
Adults interested in Vita’s programs must complete orientation and registration to determine eligibility for class. Registrations are generally held, either in-person or on-line, in January and September. Limited summer classes are offered and registration for those is in June.
Potential students are selected on the basis of their core goals and the ability to make a commitment to at least five hours of instruction per week for a semester. Core goals include obtaining or retaining employment, getting a HSE diploma, pursuing further training, entering a post-secondary institution, or improving literacy skills to help their children succeed in school.
Students are expected to attend class regularly as well as work on assignments outside of class. Students need to have transportation and child care arrangements taken care of in order to attend in-person classes.
